What Is A Trojan Horse?

The term Trojan Horse takes itself from the story from years ago when the Greek army built a huge horse and offered it as a gift to the people of Troy.  It was only when the horse was left outside the city gates and night had fell, that the people of Troy took the horse into the city and threw a victory party.

Once the party had ended, the people of Troy bedded down for the night.  It was then that the Greek army that had hidden themselves inside the massive horse got out and burned the city down.

The Trojan Horse which affects PC’s has taken it’s name from this story as it is normally downloaded onto your computer by disguising itself as a helpful application such as a screensaver, application or even as software meant to rid your PC of viruses and spyware.
